G. Moffett Cochran is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Silvercrest Asset Management Group LLC. Prior to forming Silvercrest, Cochran served as Chairman of DLJ Asset Management Group and then as President of Credit Suisse Asset Management LLC following the acquisition of DLJ by Credit Suisse in 2000.

Cochran began his career with J.P. Morgan & Co. before accepting a position with Bessemer Trust Company, N. A. where he became Senior Vice President and Director of Client Banking as well as a member of the Management and Executive Committees. Cochran joined Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette (DLJ) in 1992 and became Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of DLJ Asset Management Group and its various subsidiaries.

At the time of its sale to Credit Suisse in 2000, DLJ Asset Management Group had grown to nearly $40 billion in assets. At Credit Suisse Asset Management LLC, Cochran served as President and was a member of its Global Operating Committee. In this capacity, he oversaw the Credit Suisse's entire $300 billion asset management business, including its $11 billion private client division and its $12 billion alternative investment business. Cochran graduated from the University of Virginia with a B.A. in English and from the University of Virginia School of Law with a J.D.


  Martin Jaffe is the Chief Operating Officer of Silvercrest Asset Management Group LLC. Most recently, Jaffe served as Chief Operating Officer of DLJ Asset Management Group and then as Chief Financial Officer of Credit Suisse Asset Management LLC after Credit Suisse acquired DLJ in November 2000.

Jaffe began his career at U.S. Trust Company. Thereafter, Jaffe joined Mitchell Hutchins where he was responsible for a substantial book of private client business that he moved in 1981 to Wood, Struthers & Winthrop, the investment management subsidiary of DLJ. At DLJ, Jaffe served as Chief Operating Officer and was responsible for building and overseeing systems, operations and tax and financial planning activities. After the sale of DLJ to Credit Suisse, Jaffe served as Chief Financial Officer of Credit Suisse Asset Management LLC.

A long-time participant and Board member of the International Association for Financial Planning (now known as the Financial Planning Association), Jaffe served as its President and Chairman of the Board from 1994 until 1996. In addition, Jaffe has served as an Adjunct Associate Professor of Financial Planning at New York University for over twenty years. Jaffe graduated from Pace University and he received his MBA from Pace.


Richard R. Hough III is a Managing Director and has responsibility for marketing and business strategy and development. Prior to Silvercrest, Mr. Hough was a founding Director of Children’s Scholarship Fund and where he was responsible for marketing, relationship management and research and statistical analysis. Previously, Mr. Hough worked as a managing editor and a speechwriter and policy analyst. Mr. Hough received a B.A. in philosophy and politics from Princeton University.

James M. (Buddy) Robinson IV is a Managing Director and serves as General Counsel. Prior to joining Silvercrest, Mr. Robinson was a General Attorney at AT&T where he provided legal support to the corporate development and international operations groups. He joined AT&T after working in the legal department of Eckerd Corp. and as an associate in a law firm. Mr. Robinson holds a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law and a B.S. in Mathematics and French from the University of Oklahoma.

Christopher M. Turner joined Silvercrest Asset Management as a Managing Director and portfolio manager of equity and fixed income portfolios. Prior to Silvercrest, Mr. Turner was a Managing Director at Credit Suisse Asset Management (CSAM), where he served in a similar capacity. He arrived at CSAM as a result of that firm’s merger with Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette (DLJ), where he had worked since 1992. Previously, he was a portfolio manager at the Bessemer Trust Companies in New York and Miami. Mr. Turner holds a B.A. in History from Boston College and an MBA in Finance from Rutgers University.

David Westbrook, CPA, is a Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer. He has over 18 years of experience in accounting and finance at Deloitte & Touche in the United States and South Africa. Mr. Westbrook earned a Bachelor of Commerce and Diploma in Accounting at the University of KwaZulu-Natal in South Africa.
