Bart A. Johnston is a Managing Director and Portfolio Manager working with individual clients, families and foundations. He arrived at Silvercrest as a result of the firm’s merger with James C. Edwards Asset Management (“JCE”) where he had worked since 1997. He is currently on the Management Committee, the Outside Manager Committee and Technology Committee. He is also a member of the Investment Policy and Strategy Committee. Mr. Johnston was a Vice President and Director at JCE in charge of portfolio management, marketing and technology. Previously he spent 5 years as a Director of Met Investment Services, the institutional money management arm of MetLife. Mr. Johnston received a B.A. in English and Political Science from the University of Vermont, as well as an M.B.A. in Marketing and Finance from Columbia Business School.
