Bill Gadsden joined Silvercrest as a Managing Director as a result of the merger with Jamison Eaton & Wood. He is a member of the firm’s Management Committee. His career began at Brown Brothers Harriman in NYC as a portfolio manager. In 1983, he began a 20-year career with Scudder Stevens & Clark and its successor firms (Scudder Kemper Investments and Deutsche Asset Management) where he became a Managing Director in 1991. During the first half of his career there, Bill managed individual, trust, foundation and other investors’ portfolios in Scudder’s Private Investment Counsel Group. Later on, Bill became the Team Leader for the Core Growth Equity Product, a large-cap domestic equity discipline that he developed. The Core Growth Equity Team managed a variety of institutional portfolios and several mutual funds.. Bill is Chairman of the Rita Allen Foundation. He graduated from Trinity College in 1977 with a BA in Philosophy and Psychology. He earned a MBA at Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania in 1981. In 1986, Bill became a CFA Charterholder.
