John (Buck) Stevenson is a Managing Director and Portfolio Manager of the firm’s high yield municipal fixed income strategies and related funds. Prior to joining Silvercrest in 2005, Mr. Stevenson spent 9 years as the Head Trader/Manager of the Municipal Bond Department at Maxcor Financial Group. In 1995 he was a Partner and Co-Head of the Bond Department at Cambridge Partners. In 1991 Mr. Stevenson joined Dain Bosworth as Managing Director and Head Trader. Previously he was a Vice President in the Municipal Bond Department at First Boston Corporation. He began his career at Thomson McKinnon in 1980 in competitive underwriting and became Head Trader in 1983. Mr. Stevenson received his B.A. in Business Administration from Gettysburg College.
