Peter F. Tobeason joined Silvercrest Asset Management as a Managing Director as a result of Milbank Winthrop & Co.’s merger into Silvercrest. Mr. Tobeason joined Milbank Winthrop in 2007 bringing aboard the MW Commodity Strategies fund which he founded in partnership with JH Whitney Investment Management, a $3-billion hedge fund and fund-of-funds firm. Peter has more than 27 years of investment experience dating from 1983 when he began investing proprietary capital for Commodities Corporation and subsequently Reynwood Trading Corporation, the commodity and foreign exchange investment management firm he founded. Peter graduated from Princeton University with a Bachelor of Science degree and was a former Chairman of the New Jersey Council on Economic Education.
