Scott Brown, Jr. is a Managing Director and portfolio manager of equity and fixed income portfolios and is a member of Silvercrest’s Management Committee and Investment Policy and Strategy Committee. Scott joined Silvercrest from J.P. Morgan Private Bank where he was a senior private banker covering ultra-high net worth clients in the New York office. Prior to J.P. Morgan, he spent seven years in institutional equity research at Sanford C. Bernstein and seven years at Fisher Investments, a Woodside California based RIA, working with high-net-worth clients. He began his career in 1994 working for The Bank of New York in their debt capital markets division. Scott is active in his community of Bedford, NY and serves as Warden and investment committee member of St. Matthew’s Church, Trustee of the Episcopal Diocesan Investment Trust of New York and past board president and treasurer of Fox Lane Youth Lacrosse. He received a B.A. in psychology from Lake Forest College in 1994.
